The program will cover the following areas:
  1. GMO for fundamental research
  2. Genome editing technologies
  3. GMO for agriculture
  4. GMO for medicine
  5. GMO and the environment
  6. GMO and society

Those wishing to participate in the conference with an oral or poster presentation must complete the registration form on the website by October 13, 2025.

The registration fee for participation with a presentation is 3,000 rubles (standard registration) and 1,500 rubles for young scientists. There is no registration fee for listeners and foreign scientists participating remotely.

Short articles (up to 5 pages) based on the presentation materials will be published in a special issue of the journal "Ecological Genetics" (1st issue 2026) at a 25 percent discount. The deadline for submitting
articles is November 1, 2025. The official languages of the conference are Russian and English.

Conference format: mixed (in-person and remote participation).

This year marks a significant anniversary for Lyudmila Alekseevna Lutova, an esteemed scientist whose contributions to plant genetics and biotechnology are invaluable.
Her fundamental research on the genetic control of cell differentiation in plants has earned her widespread recognition and respect among specialists globally. Lyudmila Alekseevna’s work in biotechnology and genetic engineering has paved the way for new scientific fields.
Her impact on education is noteworthy. She is the author of professional and engaging textbooks on biotechnology, genetic engineering, and plant developmental genetics, which have received high praise and are extensively used in universities both in Russia and abroad. For many years, she has taught innovative courses at St. Petersburg State University, imparting her knowledge to new generations of scientists. Under her leadership, a cohort of talented students has emerged, now successfully working in research institutes, universities, and innovative companies across the country and internationally, thereby continuing and expanding her legacy.
L.A. Lutova’s contributions to Russian science are truly invaluable. We wish her good health, boundless energy, grateful students, and continued scientific achievements!
